Choose an image that co ordinates or compliments the embossing folder you are going to use. Stamp the image onto a piece of card which has been cut to the size of the embossing folder. Where you postion the stamped image will depend on the design of the card and how it best fits with the embossed image.
Place the card in the embossing folder and run it through your die cutting machine.
The card can either be coloured before it is stamped and embossed. This image was stamped with a black versafine ink first as it does not react with water base products. It was then coloured using splodges of ink from aquatint pens.
These cards were smooshed with distress inks and then stamped before being embossed. Once embossed cut some mat and layers for the card.
Ink the edge of the embossed card and glue the mat and layers together onto a card base. This is a 5" x 7" card.
Stamp a butterfly to position over the butterfly in the main stamped image. These were stamped with momento black ink which does not react with alcohol.
Colour with alcohol inks that match the distress inks used on the main image.
Print out some sentiments for the front and inside of the card.
Cut out the sentiments. Decorate the sentiment going to be used on the inside of the card. Ink around the edges with distress ink.
