Gorjuss matchbox card

Have these bits and pieces left over from other projects so thought I would try and use some up.    Thought I would try and use the two strips with the santaro gorjuss girls from 8 x 8 papers.   They are too small for a standard size card so thought I would have a go at a matchbox type card.

I measured the width of the strip I was going to use on the inside and the length I wanted it to be.  This is the size of the base of the box.  I cut scored a piece of 240g card stock 11cm x 15cm and scored l;eft to right across the 11 cm side at 1cm 2 cm and then 3 cm then added on the width approx 5cm so scored at 8 cm across then 9 and10 cm.  I scored left to right across the 15cm side at 1,2 ,3,12,13, and 14 cm.

I cut the paper as shown.

 Added red tape
 and glue for good measure
then folded as shown to make the inside of the matchbox.
There are plenty of tutorials on you tube showing how to make a matchbox if you need extra help.
 This is the finished base.
I decided to fussy cut the girl out and cut a background for the base.
I die cut some tine stars for the background then glued it into the base of the matchbox.
I then layered the gild on foam for some dimension
Added a die cut tree, fence and grass

I cut a strip of 240g card 9cm by 19cm.  This is slightly longer than needed but you need a slight margin for the folds and can trim the excess off at the end.  Starting with left  side I folded it around the front of inside of the matchbox around the right side and the back and around the left side again and across the front.  I glued the overlap on the left hand side and the flap across the front makes a card.  I trimmed this to the same width of the front.

I decorated the front flap and added a sentiment.

I then used my craft artist program to make an insert and cut this out and glued it on the inside of the flap.

 The final matchbox.
